This step is important because once the person inclines the chair, you will be left with no option other than talking to the person seated on the inclined chair. Keep looking at the illuminated signs or listen to the instructions from the captain or the flight attendants.

Lower the tray table

This action will definitely occupy some of your space but it will be important in preventing the recliner from reclining. Ensure that you have some clearance space since you will need this to lower your table. Remember you will be required to lock the drawer during taking off as well as landing.

Place your Bottle under the Tray Table Latch

This is the intervention step that will prevent the seat from reclining. Use something like a book or something similar to help in holding the bottle in an ideal position between the latch and the tray. Once you have placed the bottle, push it as far as possible towards the seat in front of you. Once you have done this, you can relax and enjoy your flight since the passenger in front of you won’t be able to push the seat back to affect your comfort.
