Astronomy in the Park at Red Rock Canyon - Mar. 20
The Rangers at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and the Las Vegas Astronomical Society invite you to "Astronomy in the Park" at the Red Rock Visitors Center on 20 March. The presentation, "Open Star Clusters - Youngsters of the Milky Way" begins at 5:30pm. Weather permitting, public viewing through the telescopes of LVAS members will immediately follow the presentation. Come see Mars, Saturn, galaxies, nebulae, supernova remnants, and star clusters. There's more than just stars in the skies over Vegas, so Look Up Las Vegas.Astronomy in the Park star parties are free and open to the public; however, the Park charges an entrance fee of $5.00 per vehicle until the Park closes. The Park Entrance closes at Sunset, so if you don't plan to attend the presentation, please be in the park by 6:30pm.
