How are these classes free?: Through a grant, the seat fees are paid for currently employed, licensed individuals in the Clark County School District. An “upfront” fee of $130 per class for the graduate credit is reimbursed upon successful completion of the class, through the same grant.
NOTE: Limited amount of grant funding determines the availability of free classes.

1. How may TeacherLine credits be used in Clark County?: TeacherLine credits are graduate-level and have been approved for use for Highly Qualified status, License Renewal, and Salary Advancement.

2. How are these classes free?: Through a grant, the seat fees are paid for currently employed, licensed individuals in the Clark County School District. An “upfront” fee of $130 per class for the graduate credit is reimbursed upon successful completion of the class, through the same grant.

3. How long do the classes last?: PBS TeacherLine classes normally run six weeks. A time commitment of five hours a week by the student is typical.

4. What is expected of me each week?: Each week you are required to read through course content and view embedded video clips to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to complete your course Project. You are also required to complete all discussion questions and assignments. Discussion questions help you to process the information that you have read, and help you to integrate that information into the classroom. Consider these questions and post your answers and thoughts to the Discussion Board. All of the required activities will provide the steps necessary for Project completion. The Project is usually due during the last week of the course. All of this may be done from your home computer.

5. What's the difference between "Local" courses and "National" courses?: "Local Courses" - are offered by your Local Station i.e. Vegas PBS. These courses are facilitated by an educator that works within the CCSD. Most of the other learners within the class are CCSD teachers as well.
"National Courses" - are offered by the PBS TeacherLine National Office. The course Facilitator most likely will be located out of state, as well as your fellow classmates. National Course Credits are identical to Local Courses.

6. I am a retired teacher, and/or teacher on leave of absence, do I qualify to take the classes for free?: Grant regulations specify currently employed and working CCSD teachers only may use the PROMO CODE. You may take the class at regular course pricing.
