Sign Language Workshop

Sign language enables infants and toddlers to communicate their wants and needs, reducing frustration. It is also a successful method to help second language learners learn new words.

Children stretching

To start signing successfully with your child:

Sign a few words when you are talking to your child.
Try to learn a few signs at a time and use them consistently. Some good signs to start teaching your child include: milk, water, more, eat.

Sign during everyday activities.
For example, during dinner time, sign the foods they are eating. When reading, sign objects your child recognizes in the book.
